Boxfresh and Havaianas briefs for Tea&Cake
23 October 2012

British men's streetwear brand Boxfresh and Brazilian footwear brand Havaianas have brought in Tea&Cake PR to handle their PR.

Boxfresh has briefed the agency to handle its press and publicity in the UK and Ireland. The team is currently working on AW12 and will soon start work on SS13, reporting to Boxfresh's head of marketing Jade Garrow.

Kiran Gill, Tea&Cake group account director, will head up the account, supported by account manager Beth Colmer.

Agency founder and MD Lucy Finnegan said: "We are delighted to be working with Boxfresh, a brand that we feel is a great fit with our agency. It has fantastic heritage and history and we are looking forward to moving the brand forward.

Boxfresh was founded in 1989 at the home of alternative fashion on stalls in Greenwich and Camden Markets. From humble beginnings of selling customised prints on vintage T-shirts and sweatshirts, it has grown and today is a fully fledged international brand with collections spanning clothing and footwear.

The agency has also recently been briefed to handle the UK PR for iconic footwear brand Havaianas. The Tea&Cake team will work closely with the brand's UK marketing team.

Lucy said: "It's an exciting time for the brand following 50-year celebrations this year, and with the preparations for the 2014 World Cup and the 2016 Olympics, both due to take place in Brazil.

"The wins are great additions to our fashion portfolio which includes Le Coq Sportif, Firetrap, Bjorn Borg, kswiss, Common People and Franklin & Marshall."
